Exciting News!

SNAP! I have exciting news. DRUM ROLL...

It is official. I am taking online training to upgrade my professional skills. YAY! Going back to school wasn’t on my radar. I never thought about it, especially for this summer. Out of nowhere, I received an email about two different educational training programs. After much thought and prayer, it was too good to pass up. I am very excited about this wonderful opportunity to expand myself, learn new skills, and to stretch myself to new horizons.

Life is so short. The one important thing I've learned is to not wait for the perfect time or the perfect situation to invest in your future aspirations. I have learned firsthand that when the doors of opportunity are flung open, to grab hold of it and march on through. That is exactly what I have done. Happy dance!

I have always had an adventurous spirit. I am a risk taker. A dreamer. A courageous warrior. A mover and a shaker. I look fear in the face and say, "I won't let anything, especially challenges, to stand in my way." And I will try something new even if it takes me so far outside of my comfort zone.

Life is too darn short to let fear, intimidation, or worries to get in the way. Rather than get stressed out, shift your focus to something positive. Or consider everything that could possibly happen. "What if I fall?" Failure isn't in falling. Failure isn't in something not going as you had planned. Failure is actually not even bothering to try. Failure is to not step outside of your comfort zone. Failure is getting fixated on the negative or worst-case scenario. Failure is doing nothing. Failure is letting life and special dreams pass you by. Doesn't it make more logical sense to try something new and risk failing, rather than to not try at all? I can only speak for myself. I would most definitely opt for trying and taking the risk than permitting fear to sabotage my success.

Remember when you were much younger and you had a dream? Remember how you wanted to learn to paint, to play the guitar, to write a book, or to do something that you had never done before? What prevented you from saying, "Yes, I will go for it?" Did someone or something stop you from pursuing your aspirations? Did money get in the way? Did your lack of confidence sway you to opt out of chasing your dreams?

The truth is this... There will always be challenges, obstacles, and less than perfect conditions in our lives. There will be naysayers who tell us that we can't do something. There will be family responsibilities, bills that need paid, illnesses, hardships, and a zillion reasons to not move forward in our lives. There will be times when people, places, or tough circumstances may hinder our ability to follow our dreams.

But if we don't do what sets our heart on fire, we are not being true to ourselves. We are getting in our own way. We are not really living as independent adults if we let others (or our own self) stop us from doing what we know is right and best for us. There may never be the perfect time to start a family, to go on vacation, to go back to college, to get married, or to write the book that has been on your mind for over a decade. Here's one fact: If you want it bad enough you will make it happen. If you have a dream so deep inside your heart that you are ready to burst, you will find a creative way to take one small step forward.

You can choose to get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger. You will grow wiser, more confident, and you will have new skills. And with wisdom, courage, and new skills, you can become more successful. It is a win-win!

Now that I am in school from July through October 2023, I am placing my educational pursuits as my top priority. Keeping that in mind, I have an important announcement to make. Starting on August 1, 2023 through August 31, 2023, I will be taking a break on my YouTube channel and my website. In August, I won't be writing blog posts. This will give me more time to focus on my training, new information, and to retain everything that I am learning. So far, it's been the most amazing experience for me. In the meanwhile, I hope you are having a wonderful summer. If you have a special dream that you have pondered, I encourage you to believe in yourself, your ability to succeed, and to follow your heart wherever it may lead.
