30 Minute Coaching Sessions

I have exciting news! As of May 15, 2023, I am now offering 30-minute one-on-one coaching sessions.

All of my coaching sessions take place via Zoom. The perk for clients who use Zoom is that they don't need a paid Zoom account. Most of my clients have a free Zoom account.

Zoom is a great way to attune to my clients. This way, I can visually see you and you can see me. Through working together, we get to know one another better. We build trust. Also, it's helpful to read my client's body language, especially if they disassociate, have a trauma response, or talk about something that may trigger them.

Although it's common for my sessions to be 60 minutes for Certified Trauma Recovery Coaching, it's ideal to offer options to my clients. Whether you choose a 30 minute session or a 60 minute session, both will provide you emotional support for your healing journey. One important point to make is that 30 minute coaching doesn't mean "less than." You will still receive all of the same advantages. You will still receive nonjudgmental emotional support by me, your Certified Trauma Recovery Coach. The only difference is the length of time for your session.

Another benefit of choosing a 30-minute coaching session with me is the price is reduced. For some potential clients, this is helpful for them. Everyone is in a unique season of life. Most of my clients are juggling their families, work, health, and other responsibilities. Top Advantages of 30-minute Coaching Sessions:

  • Affordability and accessibility - It is more affordable and accessible to abuse survivors.

  • Focus - Less time is spent on catching up and less potential digressions from the goal, which increases productivity and your recovery process.

  • Quality Over Quantity - In our 30 minutes together, we get straight to the heart of the matter. Rather than get caught up in what the perpetrators said or did to you, the most important factor is how you feel and how you want to heal.

  • Efficiency - Both parties can effectively and efficiently include coaching into their busy schedules, reducing time lags. Summertime is my busiest season. (Last summer I was swamped!) In effort to help more people, 30-minute coaching sessions can open up the door of opportunity to do so.

  • Voice and Choice - Each client receives voice and choice. This means that you are in the driver's seat for your trauma recovery. During our session, we’ll discuss a coaching topic of your choice. It can be about a current or past experience, what challenge(s) you’re currently facing or anything else related to the work we can do together.

It's normal for trauma survivors to feel unlovable, unworthy, and disconnected to themselves. A major component of Certified Trauma Recovery Coaching is to help you reconnect to yourself. Your whole being; body, mind, and soul. To give you the tools to process your trauma, to gain healthy coping mechanisms, to fully move through your past trauma, and to start your recovery journey.

Traumatic events, by definition, overwhelm our ability to cope. When the mind becomes flooded with emotion, a circuit breaker is thrown that allows us to survive the experience fairly intact, that is, without becoming psychotic or frying out one of the brain centers. The cost of this blown circuit is emotion frozen within the body. In other words, we often unconsciously stop feeling our trauma partway into it, like a movie that is still going after the sound has been turned off. We cannot heal until we move fully through that trauma, including all the feelings of the event.” ~ Susan Pease Banitt, The Trauma Tool Kit

For each coaching session, you will receive:

  • Private one-on-one coaching with me via Zoom

  • Emotional support by me

  • Effective tools to increase your coping skills

  • A good listener who validates you

  • Somatic Embodiment

  • Safe space to unpack your trauma without judgment

  • Explore a body-mind connection to recover; physically, emotionally, spiritually, & relationally

  • Set realistic recovery goals to increase your quality of life

  • Inspiration and motivation from me; your coach & mentor

  • Professional resources to support you and your healing journey

I will bring my countless years of educational training and professional experiences of helping survivors achieve their recovery goals. I will share ideas, tools, and credible resources that will give you valuable key insights to help you define your unique vision, to deeply understand what’s troubling you, and to give you hope for the new possibilities awaiting you.

What makes my coaching more powerful is that I am not only a coach, I am also a trauma survivor. I truly understand everything about the toll and aftermath of abuse and trauma.

Despite the years of being silenced, manipulated, and abused, my most brilliant moment was five years ago when I reclaimed my own personal power. To declare my innate ability to heal myself through various holistic modalities. This was my awesome breakthrough that led me onto a new healing pathway. To go from barely surviving to fully thriving.

It will take time, effort, energy, and a commitment to yourself. It is a life-altering moment to expand yourself and to learn new healing tools.

Take the time to explore Certified Trauma Recovery Coaching. Invest in yourself and your mental health. You are worth it.

Healing from trauma can also mean strength and joy. The goal of healing is not a papering-over of changes in an effort to preserve or present things as normal. It is to acknowledge and wear your new life – warts, wisdom, and all – with courage.” – Catherine Woodiwiss
