Are you spending a bundle on co-pays, prescriptions, or over-the-counter drugs? Do you justify why you consume junk food, soda, fast food, and fake food?
Yes, I understand that your doctor said you must remain on a particular drug (or two, or three, or more) indefinitely. Also, I realize that economically it may be challenging to whip up a health meal for your family when time is short and money is limited. Trust me, I do "get it."
As the matter of fact, I used to be in your shoes three years ago. When my husband was unemployed, our budget was beyond tight. My doctor insisted that I take Cymbalta indefinitely. Despite my horrifying side effects, which became debilitating, my fibromyalgia specialist dismissed me, saying, "I can't manage your health any longer."
In other words, she left me to "wing it" on my own. To suffer excruciating pain, which left me desperately going from doctor to doctor begging for help. Yet not one doctor would come to my rescue.
Eventually, I obtained a new doctor who added several prescriptions on top of Cymbalta. Completely unaware, the serotonin levels in my body increased to the point of becoming dangerously toxic. My physical, emotional, and cognitive health spiraled out of control.
Potentially, this resulted in dire consequences. Only by the grace of God am I alive today to share my harrowing journey. For those interested in reading the entire story, check out my memoir, Harvest of Hope: Living Victoriously Through Adversity. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HEQH6E6
The reason I'm so passionate about advocating for healing, hope, and holistic health is because I have been through the muddy trenches. I know firsthand what it's like to feel as if your life is hell on earth. To be choking in darkness and unable to get out of the pit. To be teeter tottering between life or death.
My life-changing moment occurred when I realized that Western medicine was no longer working for me. Instead, it was keeping me bound up as a hostage in my own body. The only way to be set free was to make major changes in my life. To let go of false beliefs and a negative mindset.
Three years ago, I started the uphill climb out of the slimy pit. I'll be the first to say it wasn't easy and it was the most difficult battle I confronted. But my life was at stake. I needed to take action to see positive change.
Clinging to hope and faith, I took the first baby step. I tapered every single medication and I drastically cleaned up my diet. Then I began researching natural, safe alternatives to build up my immune system and promote vibrant health.
One positive change led to another. Gradually, I regained my physical, emotional, and cognitive health. It spurred me onward to reach out to others to share the hope there is available. Hope to improve your overall wellness. Hope to anticipate a brighter future. Most of all, hope to live a life of passionate purpose.
If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, isn't time for a change? Instead of taking every prescription your doctor orders or willingly accepting every treatment, isn't it time you first become aware of every option? Isn't your quality of life and health worth salvaging?
Today is the day to reclaim your life. To take back control over your body and mind. To be more conscious of what you're consuming, aware of how toxic chemicals and ingredients are hindering your wellness, and educate yourself on a variety of options available for you.
When you are ready to take the first step, I'm here to encourage you and help you along your healing journey. To motivate you to take action as you pursue a life worth living. Not just any ordinary life, but the abundant life God created you for; an extraordinary life where you live victoriously.
