Do you know that our heavenly Father will stir deeply within us? He will reach straight into our soul to break our hearts for what breaks His. My heart is weeping. I question if my calling, my purpose, and my mission in life is even making a difference?
Am I only speaking in vain? Does my story even matter? How can I make a greater impact throughout our world? These are the nagging thoughts that keep me awake at night.
Do we really let our hearts break for the same things that breaks God’s heart? Do we genuinely care about the lost, the brokenhearted, the poor, the sick, the hopeless, and the defenseless? How about helping those who were abused, sexually assaulted, and silenced?
Or are we just going through the motions? Are we too wrapped up in our own lives or too busy to notice?
I'm being real. This is what concerns me. Please tell me that I am not the only one who is being pushed so far outside my comfort zone to do what only God can call me to do.
As long as I'm still breathing, I will speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. I will boldly be a voice for the voiceless and give hope to the hopeless.
Why? Because I care about human suffering. I care about all suffering and injustice within our world, including with innocent children, animals, and vulnerable people.
There are many folks who want to censor us. Who go to great lengths to silence us. Who resist the truth. Who twist reality.
They don't want us to expose them or the darkness. They will try to create smear campaigns against us. Yet, we will not be silenced. We will not back down.
Instead, we will bravely raise our voices and say, "Me, too" and "I believe you." We will link arms as we support one another, empower one another, and build awareness.
Men and women will join in solidarity to start a new movement. A movement of truth telling, education, and advocating for those who cannot speak up for themselves.
We don't need a village to save lost souls. All it takes is one person to send a ripple effect into our world to make it brighter. A single soul cry to reach out to help those less fortunate than you.
Today, what can you do to make a powerful impact? I encourage you to do something. It doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate. Do whatever tugs at your heart strings.
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice." Proverbs 31:8-9 (NLT)
