They are strangers. We have never met in real life. Yet, my true story about God using red cardinals to minister to me has greatly ministered to men and women.
As I read each comment, I was honored and humbled. Seriously, I had thought of leaving YouTube for good. To not get tangled up with their censorship issues and negativity. I prayed for a sign on whether I should remain on YouTube or leave for good.
The Lord gave me confirmation that I am to stay put. He has a greater purpose for me on this platform. In the midst of opposition, there is still hope.
Today, tears are in my eyes as I come to the realization that I have been chosen for such a time as this. To comfort those who are heartbroken, grieving, and lost. To minister to hurting folks who may not even have a relationship with Christ. To give encouragement and hope to those who are desperately seeking hope and courage during their dark season.
One woman said in her comment that she was going to end her life. She was hopeless, in despair, and suicidal. She prayed for God to give her a sign. Somehow, she landed on my YouTube channel with my video titled, Powerful Signs Through A Cardinal. And she didn't go through with ending her life. Praise God!
Another person openly shared in her comments that she is homeless and deeply troubled. She had unexpectedly found my YouTube channel in which she has now started seeing red cardinals. She said it gave her hope and she senses God is near.
There are dozens of uplifting, inspirational, and amazing comments that have deeply touched me. Many of those who have commented shared sensitive issues in their lives about losing loved ones, about being lonely, about questioning if the Lord even forgives and loves them.
The one common thread: God led each one of them to my YouTube channel to view this particular video about red cardinals. Wow! Just WOW! I am in awe.
I have tears in my eyes. My heart is overflowing with gratitude. I am thankful today for Christ to choose me to lift up those who are weary, downcast, and who need more than anything encouragement.
Today, never underestimate the power of God. He can use ordinary people, like you and I. He can take our own messes, pain, and hardships to bring comfort, love, and to grow their own faith. Most importantly, God gets all of the glory!
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed." Isaiah 61:6 (NLT)
