We can either react or respond. I choose to not freak out. I refuse to permit this uncontrollable situation to control me. I will not be paralyzed by fear.
Friends, please stop blasting your negative thoughts, corona virus cases, and death tolls on social media. SERIOUSLY!
Do you realize how this negative energy creates more unnecessary fear and anxiety? Think before you post something. Use common sense before you speak words of illness, death, and destruction over the lives of others, including yourself.
Understand that there is power in our words. In our thoughts. It is either life-giving or life-sucking. Do not underestimate the ability for your words and thoughts to create your reality.
Ask yourself: Are you speaking life or death? How will this influence people? Is it uplifting or dragging folks down? Does it produce calm or chaos? Love or hate? Is it focused on hope or hopelessness?
We can be educated, informed, and aware of how the corona virus is impacting our world without posting constant terrifying updates. I’m tired of seeing pessimistic thoughts throughout my Facebook and Twitter newsfeed. How about you?
Now, more than ever, we must take captive every thought. Surrender doom and gloom. Release your fears. Rise up to become the awesome change that our world desperately needs.
When we focus on the good things in life, no matter how small, they will multiply. It will increase our immunity, emotional health, and produce peace of mind. Not only that, but it will boost other people's moods to help comfort them.
As for myself, I sincerely believe that I have been through far worse than this pandemic. I have endured child neglect, abuse, family dysfunction, betrayal, sexual assaults, narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, manipulation, triangulation, and broken relationships. I have survived fibromyalgia, herniated discs, depression, Complex PTSD, Cymbalta and Benzo withdrawals, a near death nightmare, and countless years of battling for my life.
I have walked through the fire. I have been in a pit of darkness. I have suffered a furnace of affliction. If I can survive these intense trials, I most certainly can survive anything.
I am more than a child abuse survivor. I am more than a sexual assault survivor. I am more than a scapegoat and black sheep in the family. I am more than a trauma survivor. I am a courageous, fearless warrior!!!
Today, may you know that you are so much more than what you have suffered. May you find the inner warrior within you to persevere. To choose to be fearless. To remain calm. No matter what life brings, cling to hope, faith, and peace.
