Today, I wrote my first romance story. It's part of my upcoming memoir, Soul Cry. What made it more touching is that it's my husband and my true love story.
While this chapter was filled with enchanting evenings, romance, and a blossoming relationship, it was also the story about how Tony went off to college. A difficult season when we went separate ways.
Just like that, I felt like I was back to being 17 years old. When I had to say goodbye to the love of my life. Good grief, I got so caught up in the moment that I broke down into tears.
I kid you not, saying goodbye to Tony when he moved two hours away from me was the most heartbreaking experience. I felt crushed! Suddenly, it's like I was transported in time. The painful memories came crashing over me.
As I quickly typed my manuscript, I bawled my eyes out. No joke! Call me sentimental or highly emotional, but this chapter moved me to tears. Lots and lots of tears.
For chapter 13, I guarantee you will need a box of tissues. This story is compelling, captivating, and a page turner. Most importantly, writing my fifth book gives me such an appreciation and deeper love for my husband.
