Hope Grows On Apple Trees

For several months, I've kept my eyes on this tree in my backyard. One part of it appeared to be dying. It was brown, bare, and not thriving. This morning, I glimpsed outside my window and was delighted to see a few apples on the lifeless branches.

A little sign from God that He can take something that we had thought was dead and He can bring it back to life. An old dream. A vision from long ago that never transpired into greatness. A troubled relationship can be resurrected. Sickness can be restored. Your dream job can be revived.

He can give us hope through apples growing on a dying tree. To reignite our passion. Revive our weary soul. To birth fresh fruit into our lives so He can complete what He started in us years ago! His Word says, "
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." (Philppians 1:6 ESV)

Today, are you desperately seeking a rekindled romance? Refreshed body and mind? Motivation to complete a project that you had previously placed onto the back burner? To be empowered and energized as the Lord equips you to finish your hearts desire?

My prayer for you is that God's promise in Hebrews 13:21 (NLT) will come alive in you. To spur you on. To believe in the possibility of your dream becoming a reality. To deepen and widen your trust in our God who is always faithful. "May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen."

Lastly, remember that our Heavenly Father does not call those who are already equipped. Joseph, David, and Moses are real life examples. Just like in ancient days, the Lord can and will powerfully equip you to a specific calling. When you feel this nudge or prompting, follow wherever He leads you. Even if this new pathway is scary, filled with obstacles, or appears bizarre, know beyond a shadow of doubt that if God does lead you to something new, He will bring you through it to accomplish whatever He started in you.
