As a child, I found out from my mom that I wasn't planned. I was an accident. Actually, my parents tried with all of their might to prevent me.
I think God handpicks the birth of His children. He chooses the exact time and day for each baby to enter into our world. And it’s no accident that I arrived four days before Christmas. To celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Who can understand best, other than Jesus, coming into this world unplanned by his parents? For His Immaculate Conception to stir up so much disbelief, frustration, and rage in people?
But it was God's plan. He knew our hurting world needed hope. And He sent Jesus to give us hope.
Despite the initial shock of his parents learning how He was formed, His miraculous conception, couldn't be stopped. Not even the wicked enemy could prevent it from happening. Jesus' birth, death on the cross, and being raised from the grave gives our world hope.
It’s in my own desperate moments as I battle spiritual warfare and fierce opposition when I must remind myself that in God’s eyes, I am not an accident. He loves every inch of me. Yes, even the parts that I’m not fond of. For He was the One to form me in my mother’s womb. He purposely chose me.
My mom and dad may have thought I was an OPPS! But all along, my Heavenly Father knew exactly what He was doing. ❤️
Today, no matter if your parents planned you or not, God already had you in mind. You are not unwanted; you were chosen. You are not unloved; you were to die for. You are not alone; you are His.
He created you for a special purpose. There’s hope and a beautiful future for you. May you embrace how much you are cherished, valuable, and loved.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)
