Sacred Wandering is about the spiritual and emotional journey when we feel lost in the wilderness. It's dry, lonely, and there's no water in sight.
Yet, in the midst of the wasteland, God shows up to reveal Himself. We are forever changed because we come to know Him more. To intimately be connected and woven together tight.
It's truly in the waiting, the wandering, and the wilderness when we lay ourselves bare. To be humbled. To be strengthened. To be comforted. To be transformed. To be refined. To come alive. For our passion for Christ is reignited where our souls are set on fire for Him.
During this writing journey, it's been turtle slow. Despite the lengthy time involved, I must trust the process. Even if I don't understand it. I must keep moving forward. And I believe this baby won't be birthed, until the Lord says it's ready.
As I write and edit my book, I find myself digging under the surface to share pieces of my own journey in the wilderness. Dark places. Painful places. Chapters of my life, which leave me shaken.
Oftentimes, our wilderness seasons uproot the winding pathway where we can get lost. Where we're blinded by darkness. When life unexpectedly sends us on a detour and it isn't looking good.
In the midst of uncertainty, we're called to trust Christ. To keep on going, despite the agonizing heat. On the other side is the Red Sea waiting for us to bravely step through.
Excited and determined, I began this writing venture. In all honesty, I don't have it all figured out. Even when I think I do, God usually shifts my direction with a whole new idea.
So I write. I pray. I seek His face. I humbly give it all to Him. And the tears have already started flowing like a raging river, but this is when I know my readers can truly connect on a deeper level.
On these pages, in my story is their story. This is why I write; To encourage, to empower, to inspire. Most importantly, to bring others healing and hope.
Ultimately, I pray this brings all glory to God. Also, I pray for my readers will come to know Him intimately as they are smack center in the midst of their own wilderness journey.
Today, if your lifelong aspirations haven't unfolded how you had planned, trust the process. Even if you don't understand. Know in your heart that something better is around the bend. And everything will eventually fall smoothly into place.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
